Late Sunday, militants of the extremist group of the Islamic state (ISIS) conducted an overnight assault targeting the rebel group of ‘Jaysh Al-Ahrar’ in the northern countryside of Idlib province.
Pictures released online showing dead corpses belong to ISIS, they were attempting to assault one of the Jaysh al-Ahrar headquarters in Al-Talihiyah village in north Idlib. However, they failed to achieve any progress.
Jaysh al-Ahrar is an armed Salafi jihadist rebel group in northwestern Syria that originated as a clique composed of 16 units in Ahrar al-Sham that opposed involvement in Operation Euphrates Shield.
In a same context, senior security commander of Tahrir al-Sham (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) was killed in Idlib province as internal clashes and assassination operations increased among the terrorist groups.
In the southern gates of Idlib, the Syrian troops operating in Al-Ghab plain pf Hama province, thwarted rebel infiltration attempt toward government-held lands, inflicting serious causalities among the attackers.
