Top sports brand Adidas claims to take human rights seriously. Yet it is a major sponsor of the Israel Football Association (IFA), which is implicated in human rights violations against the Palestinian people.
The IFA allows football clubs based in illegal Israeli settlements to participate in its leagues and competitions. Hundreds of Palestinian children have had their schools demolished, and sewage from settlements contaminates the fields where they play, while across the road they see the flush green Israeli football fields on stolen Palestinian land. Under International Law, Israeli settlements are war crimes. Adidas’ sponsorship of the IFA directly whitewashes these crimes.
Palestinian football clubs have called on Adidas to end its sponsorship of the IFA. Let's stand with them.
Adidas cares a lot about their brand - because if their brand is hurt their business is hurt. Let's show Adidas that their loyal customers around the world will stop trusting and buying their products if they don't end their complicity in human rights violations.

Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel

La marca deportiva líder, Adidas, afirma tomarse en serio los derechos humanos. Sin embargo, es uno de los principales patrocinadores de la Asociación de Fútbol de Israel (IFA), que está implicada en violaciones de derechos humanos contra el pueblo palestino.
IFA permite a los clubs de fútbol basados en asentamientos israelíes ilegales participar en sus ligas y competiciones. Cientos de niños y niñas palestinas han visto cómo se demolían sus escuelas, y cómo las aguas residuales de los asentamientos contaminan los campos donde juegan, al tiempo que al otro lado de la carretera, se pueden ver los verdes campos de fútbol israelíes en las tierras palestinas robadas. Los asentamientos israelíes son, tal como lo estipula el derecho internacional, crímenes de guerra. El patrocinio de Adidas del IFA blanquea directamente estos crímenes.
Los clubes de fútbol palestinos han pedido a Adidas que finalice su patrocinio del IFA.
A Adidas le importa mucho su marca, porque si se hiere su marca, su negocio se ve perjudicado. Demostremos a Adidas que su leal clientela de todo el mundo dejará de confiar y comprar sus productos si no ponen fin a su complicidad en las violaciones de los derechos humanos.
