Israeli forces raid Beit Jala, set up flying checkpoints

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Jala, adjacent to Bethlehem city in the southern occupied West Bank, on Wednesday afternoon, setting up several flying checkpoints around the town.
Israeli military and police vehicles also raided the al-Deir neighborhood of Beit Jala’s old city.
An Israeli army spokesperson said they were looking into reports of the raid.
