Israeli forces detain Palestinian girl at Qalandiya checkpoint

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces reportedly detained a Palestinian girl on Friday at the Qalandiya military checkpoint between Ramallah and Jerusalem in the central occupied West Bank, claiming that she was on her way to “carry out an attack” in Israel.
Hebrew-language media reported that the girl was detained allegedly “upon security information” received by Israeli authorities.
The girl, whose identity remained unknown, was transferred to Israeli intelligence for interrogation.
An Israeli police spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
