El Comité Nacional Palestino de BDS y organizaciones latinoamericanas hacen un llamado a los grupos de Derechos Humanos, movimientos sociales y la sociedad civil en general para que este 9 de julio se sumen al Día de Acción para denunciar a la cementera mexicana CEMEX, la cual está directamente facilitando y lucrando con el apartheid, la ocupación y la colonización israelíes contra el pueblo palestino.

Alto a la constructora de la ocupación en PalestinaCemex es una de las empresas insignia de México, tiene relaciones comerciales en 108 países y es la cementera más grande de Latinoamérica. Nos preocupa que opera ilegalmente en el Territorio Palestino Ocupado y lucra con la infraestructura de la colonización, la ocupación y el apartheid israelíes.A través de su subsidiaria Readymix, Cemex tiene plantas de producción en varias colonias israelíes ilegales en Cisjordania ocupada (en Mevo Horon, Atarot y Mishor Edomim), así como en los Altos del Golán sirios ocupados (en Katzerin).El cemento y hormigón producidos por Cemex son utilizados en la construcción de colonias ilegales, puestos de control militar en Huwwara y Azzun-Atma, en partes del Muro israelí de Apartheid y en la construcción del tren ligero en Jerusalén, que conecta a las colonias ilegales de la ciudad y de Cisjordania.Estas acciones violan el Derecho Internacional, los derechos humanos del pueblo palestino y las obligaciones establecidas por la ONU para las empresas.
