FORT RUSS – Inspections, drills, and war games often serve multiple purposes beyond the stated ones. In the context of rising tensions in Russia’s ‘south-western direction’ meaning the border with Ukraine, it is worth noting that these drills focus on the deployment of forces towards that direction, and that foreign military attaches have been informed.
