An Israeli settler has run over a sexagenarian Palestinian woman and her daughter, fatally injuring the former.
The Tuesday incident took place in Fasayel Village, south of the al-Aqwar area on the outskirts of the city of Ramallah in Israeli-occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Authority’s official Palestine News Agency, also known as Wafa, reported.
Sixty-year-old Zaynab al-Reshayedah died of her injuries, while her daughter Fatimah Abd Yassin, 30, was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Palestinians regularly fall prey to hate attacks by extremist Israeli settlers, who either subject them to injurious or fatal assaults or vandalize and set fire to their properties.
Sending shockwaves throughout the international community in July last year, settlers carried out an arson attack against two Palestinian houses in the town of Duma, located 25 kilometers (15 miles) southeast of the city of Nablus in northern West Bank, killing Palestinian baby boy Ali Dawabsheh. His parents, who had been injured in the attack, also died later.

Backed by Israeli forces, the settlers also incessantly violate the compound of al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third-holiest site, in al-Quds (Jerusalem).
The occupied Palestinian territories have been the scene of heightened tensions since the Israeli imposition in August 2015 of restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the mosque’s compound.
The restrictions have enraged Palestinians, who say the Tel Aviv regime seeks to change the demographic status of the compound.
Since the start of October 2015, more than 180 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces amid the escalation.
