‘Russia has delivered six Mikoyan MiG-31 fighter jets to Syria in a bid to help the Arab country in its battle against Takfiri terrorists, a report says.
According to a Sunday report by Turkey’s English-language website BGN News, Moscow shipped the supersonic interceptor aircraft to Damascus under a contract inked between the two sides in 2007.
Russia’s intermediary agency for exports and imports of defense-related products, Rosoboronexport, refused to confirm or deny the report while an official confirmation was yet to emerge from Damascus.
The contract obligates Moscow to deliver two more jets to the violence-wracked Middle Eastern country, the report added.’
