Hungarian Thinker: Takfiri Thought Created by UK

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Takfiri way of thinking has been created by the British government, a Hungarian thinker said, adding that Wahhabis and Zionists are of the same origin.

"The Takfiri way of thinking has been created by the Britons because they were and are looking for a kind of Islam in the region that opposes Shiites and Sunnis," Balas Mihalfi said, addressing a conference on Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, in Tehran on Tuesday.

Wahhabis were brought to Saudi Arabia by the UK and they managed to make the entire Saudi peninsula followers of the same sect, he said, adding that the concurrence of Wahhabis' rise to power with the occupation of Palestine by the Zionist regime shows that they share the same roots.

In January, Deputy Leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah Movement Sheikh Naeem Qassem, lashed out at the western countries for supporting the ISIL terrorists, stressing that the Takfiri ideology has nothing to do with Islam.

"Some people say that Takfirism is a misinterpretation of Islam, while it is not related to Islam in any way," Sheikh Qassem said, addressing the 28th Meeting of the International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran.

He reiterated that confronting the Takfiri currents which have been created to defame Islam is a priority of the Hezbollah Movement.

"We should confront the Takfiri currents in a hostile manner and treat them like terrorists," Sheikh Qassem said. He also underlined the need for drawing a comparison between the wrong and violent behavior of the Takfiri terrorists and the teachings of the genuine Islam
