TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Yemeni politician underlined that Saudi Arabia is engaged in a proxy war in Yemen on behalf of the US and Israel, and said the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) designs and organizes the crimes committed by the Al Saud and ISIL in the region.
“The Al Saud’s crimes in Yemen and those of the ISIL in Iraq and Syria show that the CIA is director of all these crimes,” Hassan Zayd told FNA on Monday.
He noted that the Saudi-led airstrikes against Yemen are aimed at destroying the Arab country’s historical and ancient sites, and said, “Bombing Imam Abdel Razzaq al-Sanani Mosque and Baraqesh ancient castle (in Yemen) resembles the ISIL’s crimes and this proves that the sponsor and director of all these crimes is the CIA.”
On Sunday, political analysts underlined that Saudi Arabia is engaged in a proxy war against the regional nations, specially Yemen, on behalf of the western countries and Israel, and said that a Takfiri-Salafist alliance has been formed against the Yemeni nation and Ansarullah movement.
"The Al Saud regime is executing the western plots in the Middle East, specially in Bahrain and Yemen," Egyptian Politician Jamal Abu Aliyev told FNA.
He noted that the western and US mercenaries in the region are betraying the Arab states for the sake of Israel, and said, "Today we see that the global arrogance is supporting Saudi Arabia because the West's ambition for oil to help its weapon-manufacturing factories to continue their operation has instigated Saudi Arabia to attack Yemen."
Speaking to FNA, Yemeni political activist Maboud Al-Bekri said that Saudi Arabia is planning to establish a Takfiri-Salafi alliance in Yemen against the nation's revolution and Ansarullah movement.
Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 19 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed over 1042 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children. The attacks have also left more than 2250 people injured.
Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.
Despite Riyadh's claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.
Five Persian Gulf States -- Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait -- and Egypt that are also assisted by Israel and backed by the US declared war on Yemen in a joint statement issued on March 26.
