Saudi
fighter jets have carried out airstrikes against two markets near
Sa'ada in northern Yemen, as Saudi Arabia continues its illegal military
campaign against its impoverished neighbor.Saudi bombers targeted two populated marketplaces in Sa’ada on Saturday killing at least two civilians and inflicting damage on the city’s infrastructure.
The attack on Sa’ada came after Saudi ground forces allegedly fired mortar shells at the border area near the city earlier in the day.
There were also unconfirmed reports of at least three fatalities in Amran, a city south of Sa’ada, where Saudis launched a massive raid.
Other areas across Yemen came under similar attacks, with warplanes targeting al-Dailami airbase near the capital Sana’a. There were no reports of casualties.
At least three people were killed in another aerial attack in the capital earlier on Saturday while 14 other people were injured in an airstrike on a football stadium.
Sources close to the ruling Ansarullah movement say at least 1,000 people, including 200 children, have been killed in Yemen since the Saudi aggression against the Arabian Peninsula state began on March 26.
