In late March, Saudi Arabia, alongside several other Arab states, including Egypt, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, started carrying out airstrikes against positions of Houthi rebels, following a request from Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who fled the country amid the hostilities.
