Anti-air S-300 missiles were
successfully fired by units from the Kapustin Yar Testing Range in
Russia’s southern Astrakhan Region, the Southern Military District’s
press service announced Monday.
MOSCOW
(Sputnik) – The launches were held last week and included control fire
of the S-300 missile system as well as its modifications.
“During tactical exercises with live fire, of which 60 percent
of them were held at the Kapustin Yar [Testing Range] at night, problems
of perfecting practical skills of the units’ command, bringing the
military staff on high combat readiness, the organization of joint
activity and an overall requalification of military coordination and
training for the military personnel was held,” the press service said.
The Russian military unit was deployed from its base in Armenia for training.
