Does anyone think it’s bizarre that we haven’t actually seen or heard Tsarnaev since they arrested him in Boston a year ago, and suddenly he’s sentenced to death so we’ll never hear his testimony?
Every single major court case is shown on the media with footage and pictures from inside the courtroom. OJ Simpson, Casey Anthony, major terror and crime suspects — all except the Tsarnaev trial. We have seen and heard absolutely nothing of this guy since they pulled him from that boat last April. Not once. Only courtroom sketches that could’ve easily been faked. Now, he’s supposedly been convicted and sentenced to death, so we’ll never hear his testimony. How in the hell has no one picked up on this and think it’s beyond bizarre?
The 13th Juror: Now it gets real
Boston (CNN)We don’t have to pretend anymore: Dzhokhar “Jahar” Tsarnaev did it. The jury has spoken.
He was in cahoots with his big brother, and together they set off the
deadly bombs at the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon.
Jahar survived and his brother didn’t, so he’s the one we’re left to deal with.
The way the law sees it, Jahar blew people
up on a nice April day, killing two women in their 20s and a little
boy. Jahar scarred and maimed more than 250 others and changed countless
lives forever.
And, even if his brother pulled the
trigger, Jahar shot a 26-year-old campus cop between the eyes a few days
later because he wanted the cop’s gun.
In the end, even Tsarnaev’s own lawyer had
grown impatient with the pretense of innocence: “The horrific acts that
we’ve heard about — the death, destruction and devastation that we’ve
heard about — deserve to be condemned, and the time is now,” Judy Clarke
said in her closing argument.
She urged jurors to “find the truth” and hold her 21-year-old client accountable.
But how? What we do next will say more about us as a society than it ever could about Tsarnaev.
He wrote in his boat hideout that
innocents must pay with their lives for what our government is doing to
his fellow Muslims. He’s no innocent, but how will the jurors make him
pay? Will they demand retribution as well?

The mother of Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev condemned the guilty verdictdelivered by the jury in his federal death penalty trial on Wednesday, calling Americans “terrorists” and proclaiming her sons’ innocence.
In an interview with the website Vocativ conducted over the WhatsApp messaging application,
Zubeidat Tsarnaeva insisted on the innocence of her Chechen sons,
Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who planted the twin bombs that killed 3
people and wounded nearly 300 others near the finish line of the 2013
marathon. She went on to say that the United States will ultimately pay
for “framing” them.
“MY SONS ARE INNOCENT, AS
INNOCENT AS ALL THOSE WHO ARE BEING KILLED BY YOUR COUNTRY,” Zubeidat
Tsarnaeva wrote, according to the website. “TODAY THEY ARE KILLING
MUSLIMS, AND TOMORROW WILL COME YOUR TURN AND HE WHO DOUBTS THIS IS
DEEPLY MISTAKEN!!!!!”
Tsarnaeva, who is of Avar origin and lives in Dagestan, wrote the text messages in both Russian and English, according to Vocativ, which obtained her phone number and verified her identity through dated selfies she provided.
