Monsanto’s Roundup weedkiller was safe to drink was offered some in a
glass by a journalist during the interview — and refused to drink it.
Biologist cum lobbyist Dr. Patrick Moore said during an interview
on Canal+ that glyphosate, the active chemical in Monsanto’s Roundup
herbicide that the World Health Organization has recently deemed a
"probable carcinogen,” was not only not the reason for increasing cancer
rates in Argentina, but was instead so safe as to be fit for human
consumption.
“You can drink a whole quart of it and it won’t hurt you,” Moore insisted.
“You want to drink some?” the interviewer pressed. “We have some here.”
“I’d be happy to, actually,” Moore replied, adding, “Not really. But I know it wouldn’t hurt me.”
Moore continued to dodge the persistent interviewer:
“If you say so, I have some,” he said.
“I’m not stupid,” Moore declares.
“So, it’s dangerous?” the interviewer asked.
Moore went as far to say that Roundup is so safe, people have failed to commit suicide by drinking it.
“It’s not dangerous to humans,” Moore argued. ”No, it’s not.”
“So, are you ready to drink one glass?” the interviewer continued to press.
“No, I’m not an idiot,” Moore replied. “Interview me about golden rice, that’s what I’m talking about.”
At that point, Moore declared the “interview is finished.” He called the interviewer a “jerk” before walking off set.
Moore has been active on social media of late to discredit the World Health Organization’s claims that glyphosate is likely carcinogenic.
According to EcoWatch, Moore was a member of Greenpeace before becoming a lobbyist for the likes of Big Oil and Monsanto.

Anti-Science at #UN
@WHO says gylphosate "probably" causes cancer
#IPPC says CO2 "likely" causes warming
Neither word has place in science.
