“Leading conspiracist intellectual” thanks French President

Demands Medal of the Legion of Honor

An open letter to François Hollande, President of the Republic of France

… from  Dr. Kevin Barrett, Veterans Today Editor

hollande-barrett

Dear President Holland,

I am writing to thank you for deeming me one of the four leading “conspiracist intellectuals” in North America. I am also flattered by your suggestion that my “conspiracy theories” should be banned by the French and European governments, and globally by international agreement as well.
I had no idea I was so important.

Your anti-conspiracy outbursts appear to be targeting my new book We Are Not Charlie Hebdo: Free Thinkers Question the French 9/11. Are you really considering banning my book? That would be incroyable, etonnant, even merveilleux. In plain English, it would be really, really cool. Do not, I repeat, do NOT let me stop you. Go ahead, ban away. Make my day. And if you wouldn’t mind buying a few thousand copies and publicly burning them in the middle of the Champs-Elysees or the Place de la Bastille or Place de la Concorde or someplace like that, I would be eternally grateful.
Perhaps you could also issue a more specific public attack on my book . . . something I could use as a blurb? How about: “We Are Not Charlie Hebdo eez fool of, ow you say, conspeerasee TEEE-oreez. Pleeeez buy zeee copies and zen burn zem. And zen go buy more copies and burn zem too.”

Attacks on books can boost sales and even credibility. You may recall that Thierry Meyssan’s pioneering 9/11 exposé L’Effrayeuse imposture (translated as 9/11: The Big Lie) set a new record by selling more copies when it was released than any other book in French history. And it was the attacks from powerful liars like you that drove sales.

By the way, I do need to let you know that if your attack on my book is a false flag and you’re planning to demand a share of the massive profits that will soon be rolling in, you’ll need to sign a standard false-flag-book-promotion contract like the one I just sent to Abe Foxman over at ADL.
Before I let you go, there is one last little thing we need to discuss. It concerns that Medal of the Legion of Honor that Paul Craig Roberts wears when he’s in the mood for impressing people. Dr. Roberts won his medal back in 1987 for being “the artisan of a renewal in economic science and policy after half a century of state interventionism.”

Now that’s all well and good. Dr. Roberts was one of the inspirations for We Are Not Charlie Hebdo. The book features an essay of his which begins: “The Charlie Hebdo attack has many characteristics of a false flag attack.” I have nothing but utmost respect for Dr. Roberts, who is one of the most important political thinkers of our time. But I notice that he didn’t make your list of top four North American “conspiracist intellectuals” whereas I did. So where is my medal?

In avid anticipation of the award ceremony (should we just do it at your Palais de l’Elysée, or do you think Versailles would be more, comment-tu-dis, magnifique?)

Veuillez agréer,  Monsieur,  l’expression de mes salutations distinguées,

Kevin Barrett
