Oren Segal, who heads the Anti-Defamation League’s Extremism Center, said on February 18 at a White House Summit on Countering Violent Extremism, that Islam wasn’t the only violent threat.
Instead Segal blamed America and white supremacists for violence.
“Violent extremism is not a Muslim community problem,” he said, “It’s an American problem. It’s also a problem that’s international.”
If we take for example, the threat of white supremacists and right wing extremists and look at the amount of murders in this country in say the past 10 years, 95% of murders against Americans and that includes law enforcement have been caused at the hands of right-wing extremists. We have to remember that fact when we’re coming up with strategists.”
We checked but there’s no evidence for Segal’s claim.
