‘The Palestinian national unity government has decided to join the International Criminal Police Organization, commonly known as Interpol, a senior official says.
The Palestinian government will submit a request to join the organization in 2015 ahead of Interpol’s annual meeting in November, said Ahmad al-Rabie, a senior official in the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Interior, on Saturday.
Rabie added that Palestine had submitted a request to join Interpol in 2011, but was only accepted as an observer.’
