‘Poor Benjamin Netanyahu. The folks at Israel’s newspaper Haaretz thought their normally belligerent prime minister could score some badly needed points on the international stage by showing up in Paris, France on Sunday.
Alas, that wasn’t to be.
Over three million turned out to march against terrorism and to mourn beloved cartoonists and staff from the satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, and others murdered in last week’s grisly terrorist attacks. How could Netanyahu — who has long claimed to stand against the sort of Islamic extremism demonstrated in the attacks — go wrong?’
