Every one of us is preoccupied with worry for the 48,000 of our young Israeli soldiers and their
commanders who are in Gaza right now, risking their lives on our behalf.
Our young men are facing a cruel and torturous enemy who use every angle imaginable to kill and maim as many of us as they can.
Each of us are wrestling with the question -
what can WE do to help!?
Two American teenagers answered that question by leaving their families and joining the Israeli army. They were killed two days ago in Gaza. They gave their lives for the honor of standing with their brothers in the battle, to protect all of us.
BUT WHAT CAN EACH OF US DO? We can't fight.We can become part of OneFamily, bringing comfort and long term healing to every bereaved Mother and Father, Sister and Brother, or young child whose Father will never come home.
OneFamily, which received the Volunteers Award from President Shimon Peres, is our outstretched arm to provide all the individualized personal needs of each wounded soldier and civilian, and every family member whose loved one has been killed.
On behalf of the People of Israel, let us stand supportively with hundreds of direct family members of the 28 Heroic Soldiers who gave their lives and the over 65 wounded soldiers, whose sacrifice for our people will be marked on their bodies for the rest of their lives.
This is an important and meaningful act each of us can do right now.
