A number of British Jews have voiced outrage over the uncritical support of Israel's atrocities in Gaza on the part of the UK government and the main representative body of British Jews.
A group named Jews in Britain Against Genocide staged a die-in protest in London,
commemorating the innocent Palestinian children who have been killed by the Israeli army in Gaza.

The group strongly condemned the Board of Deputies of British Jews, the main representative body for UK's Jews, for endorsing the bloodshed and violence launched by the Israeli regime in the coastal enclave.

It also slammed the Board of Deputies for organizing rallies with the Zionist Federation to gather support for the childern murdered in Israel.

Jews in Britain against Genocide said the Board of Deputies has launched an intimidation campaign against local councils to stop them from flying the Palestinian flag as an expression of solidarity with Gaza.

“Israel has turned the Gaza Strip into a concentration camp by imposing a seven-year military siege, ... restricting access to food, water, fuel and medical supplies, ... imprisoning 1.8 million people and squeezing them even further by imposing no-go areas within the Gaza Strip,” the group said in a statement.

On July 8, Israeli warplanes began pounding numerous sites in the Gaza Strip, demolishing houses and burying families under the rubble. Israeli troops also launched a ground invasion into the impoverished Palestinian territory on July 17.

The Israeli regime’s relentless attacks against the Gaza Strip have left nearly 1,900 Palestinians dead, more than 430 of them children, and wounded over 9,500 others.

A 72-hour humanitarian truce between the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and Israel took effect at 8 a.m. (0500 GMT) on Tuesday.
