Civilian infrastructures are again
targeted by Israeli military equipment in another night of violence. The
latest structures obliterated by Israeli shells are another school and
the oil deposit of the main power station.
While there are reports of misguided
Israeli youths gathering together to sing "olé" chants about Gaza's
massacred children, joking there are no more schools because the
children are all dead, thousands of Israeli citizens took to the streets
this weekend to protest against the Zionist massacre and the
occupation. Some Orthodox Jews protesting against Zionism and carrying
Palestinian flags were arrested. Many Jews regard the Zionists as being a
threat to security.
As the Israeli Defence Force states that
it needs one more week to destroy the tunnels used by HAMAS, a
playground was strafed, killing several children. Both sides blame one
another. The Israeli offensive Protective Edge was launched on July 7
and is the third major offensive against Gaza since 2005 when Israel
ceased occupation of the territory but has since maintained a blockade.
In the recent fighting, many children
have been encountered among the 1.031 Palestinian victims, with 6,000
injured. 43 Israeli soldiers and 3 civilians have died in the fighting
