Muhammad Naim Hamadeh died from his wounds after he was injured during the Great March of Return along the Gaza-Israel border
A Palestinian man died early Sunday morning after succumbing to wounds he sustained during protests on 14 May along the eastern Gaza border fence with Israel, during which Israeli forces killed over 60 Palestinians.
Spokesperson of the Gaza Ministry of Health, Ashraf Al-Qidra, said in a statement that Muhammad Naim Hamadeh, 30, succumbed to his wounds to become the 123rd victim of Israel’s attack on unarmed Palestinian protesters.
The ministry added that Israeli forces had killed the Palestinians as they took part in the Great March of Return protests in the Gaza Strip. Launched on 30 March, the marches saw 13 children and one woman killed, while almost 14,000 have been wounded.
The Great March of Return protests were launched by thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza who took to the borders to demand their right of return to their original homelands, called for ending the 12-year siege on Gaza and protested against the opening of the US embassy in occupied Jerusalem.
