World Cup BOMBSHELL: EU Parliament demands BOYCOTT to send message to 'war criminal' Putin
'EU MEPs are calling for Europe’s governments to BOYCOTT the Russia World Cup 2018 to punish Vladimir Putin for MOCKING European values.
After the Salisbury nerve-agent horror and increasing global abhorrence to Putin’s actions in Syria a group of MEPs have penned an open letter declaring the Russian president need to be taught a lesson.
In the letter seen by Express.co.uk, 60 European MPs argue that the Salisbury attack on former Russian agent Sergie Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, in March was "just the latest chapter in Vladimir Putin’s mockery of our European values”.
The letter was sent to member states from MEPs from 16 different member states and five political groups across the EU Parliament.
German MEP Rebecca Harms initiated the letter and denounced the Russian president for his “horrendous war crimes”.'
