I was sat on the sofa but my eye was off the ball and glued to the
names on the hoardings and the names of the companies advertising in the
breaks, and they were ALL for gambling and betting: bwin. bet365.
William Hill. Paddy Power. betfair. betUK. BetFred. BetVictor.
I don’t think there was even a wholesome KFC ad to break the
terrifying dominance of gambling, which was deregulated by Labour and is
now recognised by the American Psychiatric Association as being as
addictive as drugs and alcohol.’
